Tufted perennial up to 1.5m. Leaves narrow, long and tapering, sometimes arching over; 3-sided flowering stems stand up above the leaves; flowers are clustered within large brown overlapping bracts.
Very similar to Tetraria thermalis which is more robust and has wider leaves.
