Plants slender - 14-50cm tall. Leaves 1-3 - spreading near the ground but not adpressed to it - often purple-backed - abrupt transition to the sheaths above. Bracts long and strongly reflexed. Inflorescence fairly dense - flowers smallish - dull yellowish-green tinged sometimes with dark purple. Scent pungent and soapy. Spurs slender - 15-18mm long - close to ovary and stem.
Habitat
Moist - sandy - partly shaded slopes or coastal flats
