Erect or sprawling leafy shrublet with a stout stem. Leaves overlapping, oval, sharply toothed, margins with 7-14 pairs of teeth. Bright mauve-blue flowers, corolla tube 8.5-10mm long; clustered flowers form dense flat-topped or slightly rounded heads; bracts glabrous; highly scented.
