Much-branched, resprouting shrub to 40cm. Leaves 1-foliolate, elliptic to broadly elliptic, silky above, rusty-felted beneath; showy flowers bright pink with white centre, bracts broadly ovate, pointed.

Latin: argentum, silver; -eum, resemblance in colour: referring to silvery-grey leaves.
