Description

Low spreading plant with long, reddish stems; individual stems may reach up to 50 cm. Leaves are aromatic, roundish in outline, with 3-5 lobes; upper leaves are much smaller and more indented; triangular stipules. Flowers are small in a 3-50 flowered umbel and are pink in colour, some petals with beetroot-red veins; 7 fertile stamens present.

This species shows great variability in number of flowers per inflorescence as well as in the degree of incision and size of leaves.
