Geophyte up to 9cm with a beaked bulb. Leaves are terminal, trifoliolate, each leaflet deeply bilobed. Flowers 3-6 per flower stalk, rosy or white with a yellow tube.
Latin: stella = star, stellate, like the rays of a star; referring to the flower's star-like appearance.
