Sprawling shrublet with spreading branches up to 60cm. Leaves are stalkless, clustered (fascicled), oblong, spine-tipped, shortly hairy on margins and keel; flowers are pink or white, short-stalked, in axil of leaf; capsules (seedpods) are bristly and prominently horned.
Latin: satur = sated, full; referring to the densely leafy habit of the plant.
