Fairly common species forming large scrambling masses. Rhizome widely creeping 1-5mm in diameter. Stipe thin, wiry, shiny and glabrous. Fronds spaced 20-200mm apart; lamina with single axis from which arise paired or dichotomously pinnae which are themsellves dichotomously divided; sori are round, about 0.7mm in diameter and partially embedded in the pinnae blade; indusium absent.

Habitat
Moist cliffs and streambanks, often in disturbed places, and colonizing earth banks in eroded ravines, growing in full sun or light shade
