Description

Densely leafy shrub up to 1m. Leaves ascending, 60-90mm long, divided into thread-like or needle-like lobes; bears solitary, radiate, yellow flowerheads, on longish stalks, that are woolly at the base; fruits are hairless and closely ribbed.

Early farmers used the resin from the plant as a substitute for gum.
