Shrublet up to 40cm, branches occasionally scabrid below flower clusters. Leaves opposite, lanceolate-triangular with marginal cilia; flowers in rounded subsessile clusters, white to yellow, tubular, petals about 8mm long.

Latin: flavus = yellow: referring to yellowish colour of flowers.
