Coarsely, velvety, much-branched shrub up to 1.5m. Leaves oval, broadest towards tip, densely hairy and very sparsely toothed. The nodding flowers are crowded at ends of branches, yellow or pale-orange tubes, narrow throat with flaring petal tips; calyx slightly ballooning.
Latin: salve = well, in good health; folium = leaf: referring to the sometimes luxuriant habit of this species.
