Description

Acaulescent (stemless) geophyte with a shallow bulb. Leaves in threes, slightly succulent, leaflets cuneate-suborbicular (wedge-shaped) with large epidermal cells. Flowers white, lilac or pink with a yellow tube.

Grows naturally over a large area from the Cold Bokkeveld to Zimbabwe.

Latin: deprimo, depressus = lying low; referring to the shallowly situated bulb of this species.
