Low shrublet with erect branches and leaves crowded at branch tips, bearing short shoots in the axils, joined at the base and spreading with hooked or recurved tips; bears solitary magenta-red flowers up to 18mm across at branch tips, with stamens and staminodes collected in a central cone.
