Grey-mealy, sprawling perennial up to 30cm. Leaves elliptic-obovate, often coarsely toothed, smooth above; flowers minute in axillary clusters; fruiting bracts rhomboid, red and fleshy.

This species has been introduced fom Australia and is now well established.
