Description

Plants up to 40cm tall. Leaves usually linear-lanceolate. Inflorescence cylindrical, dense, with numerous flowers. Bracts reaching to the top of flowers, reticulate (netted) venation visible on dried material. Flowers lime-green, occasionally with some maroon tinting, with a strong, soapy scent. Spur slender, tapering and acute, 10-20mm long.

reticulata = 'netted', referring to the netted veins on the bracts.

Habitat

Occasional in moist sand - in full sunlight
