Dainty, tufted perennial up to 30cm, glabrous or finely hairy. Leaves mostly basal, oblanceolate--linear, entire or very shallowly toothed. Flowers in ascending racemes, 3-4mm long, white or pale blue with slightly darker markings.
Differs from Lobelia in the absence of the split in the corolla tube.
