Coarsely  hairy annual branching from base, 5-20cm tall. Leaves linear-oblanceolate, slightly toothed, coarsely ciliate below; flowers in terminal heads, among long bracts, narrowly bell-shaped, pale-blue to white, up to 8mm across; petals sparsely hairy.
