Softly woody, single-stemmed shrub up to 2.5m, white-woolly when young. Leaves oblanceolate, toothed, decreasing in size up the stem; bears loose clusters of radiate flowerheads on woolly flower stalks, with yellow rays and disc; fruits are smooth and slightly lobed, 5-7mm long.
