Erecr perennial up to 60cm covered with grey hairs. Leaves toothed; bears crowded flowerheads of orange to brown flowers with narrow, longitudinally rolled petals, and a tube 7-10mm long, inflated above; stamens inserted in upper third of corolla tube; throat with 3-5 longitudinal bands of hairs.
