Description

Tufted perennial. The large, noticeable leaves are produced after flowering and are up to 15cm long; upright, leathery, paddle-shaped, margins revolute; softly hairy below when young, hairless when mature; flowers radiate, with pink, sometimes white rays with a yellow centre of florets.

Flowers begin to appear 4 weeks after fire and are not seen again until the next fire; large leaves noticeable for many years.
