Woody stemmed, tuberous climber with curling tendrils, up to 2m; angled stems. Leaves heart-shaped, shiny-green with prominent veins; small flowers are pale yellow, cup-shaped, male flowers in a cluster and female flowers singular on the stem; bright orange fruit.
