Thinly hairy, soft perennial shrub up to 80cm. Leaves oval to tongue-shaped; radiate blue flowerheads with a yellow eye, up to 30mm across, carried well above the foliage on long harsh-textured stalks; the involucral bracts are in 2 series, with 3 veins each.
