Erect shrublet up to 1m. Leaves linear, erect to spreading, 4mm long in 4's; flowers are densely packed at ends of branches, small, ovoid to urn-shaped, bright to dark pink, 4-6mm long.
Latin: tenui- = slender, -ella = delicate; referring to the delicate flowers and appearance of this species.
Often forming dense populations that cover the slopes.
Habitat
Cool shady mountain slopes between 100m and 900m
