Compact, rounded, floriferous shrublet up to 40cm. Leaves usually in 3's, 2.5mm long, overlapping, spreading, on slender branches; many small, rosy-purplish, urn-shaped to conical flowers, at ends of slender branches, 3-4mm long, constricted at the mouth.
Greek: rhopalon = club or cudgel, anthos = flower; referring to the shape of the flowers of this species.
