Sprawling stout perennial with a woody base, up to 20cm. Leaves cuneate, spathulate or broadly wedge-shaped, slightly succulent, dentate with 3-9 teeth. Flowers greenish. Fruit obovate, mostly longer than the bracts, ribbed.
