Leaves 3-foliolate, leaflets subterete, awl-shaped, often curved near tip, weak, sometimes hairy; flowers solitary at tips of branchlets, yellow, standard, wing and keel partly dark violet, purple or red, wings usually glabrous, keel glabrous, calyx shortly hairy.
