Rigid shrub or shrublet up to 2m. Leaves 3-foliolate, leaflets linear-subterete to obovate, stiff, usually pungent, glabrous; yellow flowers in terminal cluster of 2-12, standard partly violet, keel glabrous, calyx fleshy, glabrous, lobes triangular; bract fused with pedicel base.
