Rhizomatous geophyte up to 15cm with flattened slender stems, usually much branched. Leaves linear 1.5-4mm wide. Flowers bright blue, solitary at end of each branch; style has 3 fringed stigma lobes; spathes translucent and deeply fringed; dark keels.
