Erect or spreading, sparsely branched perennial up tp 40cm. Leaves narrow, spreading, toothed; stems densely leaved; elongate dense spike of white flowers, calyx lobes narrow and ciliate, subtended by densely hairy bracts; the corolla has 4 lobes slit in front, resembling a small open, upstanding hand.
