Slender plants up to 60cm tall, spreading by stolons to form large groups. The extensive network formed by the stolons may serve as protection against being washed away when rivers flood. Basal leaves narrow and rounded, grading into stem leaves. Inflorescence lax with 7-10 flowers in shades of pink to white, the dorsal sepal often with dark spots. Spur 2-3mm long.
