Prickly, robust, sprawling, densely leafy shrublet to 50cm; cobwebby on young parts. Leaves reflexed, linear-lanceolate, strongly revolute, bristly, pungent; flowerheads radiate, yellow; inner involucral bracts unlike outer, unarmed.
