Monoecious or dioecious compact shrublet up to 40cm. Leaves bifoliate with a rudimentary third leaflet; leaflets flattish, orbicular to heart-shaped, 3-6mm long. Flowers: male: unknown; female: receptacle oblong, 2-2.5mm long, 3-winged, wings small, undulate, transparent.
