Description

Erect shrublet up to 80cm. Leaves are 3-nate; flowers are small, obovoid to cup-shaped, pale greenish with a very large stigma. Wind pollinated.

Latin: axilla = upper angle between leaf or petiole and stem; referring to the flowers which spring from axils.
