Description

This bright yellow shrub is at home at coast or on mountainsides. Male and female plants have oblong leaves up to 90mm long with crowded longer involucral foliage. Easily distinguished from other Leucadendrons by the conspicuous brown oily bracts of the flowers of both sexes. Buds are rounded, viscid and very sticky. Fruits are heart-shaped and unique.
