Description

Remarkable for its flowers' showiness and brilliance of colour. Erect shrub 600 to 700mm with umbels of four flowers or more at ends of branches. The flower is purplish-pink with 8 veins running longitudinally to a slightly constricted dark purple throat. The corolla is tubular 25 - 30mm long and the lobes turn back at the mouth looking like a frilly white bib. It is extremely sticky. aristata = with an awn - referrring to the awns at the ends of the leaves.
