A tiny mouse - weighing 5-6g and 10-11cm overall. Brownish with white underparts. Occurs in a variety of habitats including fynbos. Feeds on green vegetable matter - seeds and insects. Very partial to Proteaceae seeds. Nocturnal - usually solitary and shelters in burrows or under any avalaible cover such as rocks and logs
