Description

Rough, perennial creeping grass. Inflorescence is 40 to 150mm long and has a flat, fleshy raceme with light-coloured spikelets arranged on one side.

Leaf sheaths are flattened and the blade is short with a blunt tip.

Habitat

Coastal buffalo grass grows in disturbed places in sandy soil close to water sources.
