Erect, cobwebby greyish shrub up to 1.5m. Leaves lance-shaped, broader and coarsely toothed above; flowerhead a large dense terminal inflorescence, flowers radiate, bright yellow.

Latin: halimous = belonging to the sea: referring to the plants coastal habitat.
