Description

Plants robust up to 50cm tall. Leaves 2-6 - spreading and fleshy with a transition to sheaths above. Inflorescence moderately dense bearing pale-green to yellowish flowers sometimes with a purple-brownish tinge. Strongly pungent-scented especially at night. The lip sac-like with a narrow entrance. Spurs slender 13-18mm long standing a little away from the ovary. Inflorescences often eaten by Rock Hyraxes.

Habitat

Sandy to humus-rich soils - sometimes partly shaded - in shelter of rocks and bushes
