Description

Rhizomatous perennial with stiff stems up to 40cm. Leaves oblanceolate; flowers small, white in racemes; 5 small scales situated in the mouth of the corolla tube and alternating with the corolla lobes, usually regarded as staminodes (rudimentary or sterile stamens).
