Description

Slender, hairless shrub up to 30cm, stems stiffly erect, arising from rhizomes. Leaves linear and channelled, warty; flower heads thistle-like, solitary at branch tips, orange; broad bracts, minutely ciliate on margins, enfold flowers in a tight round head.
