Description

Densely, leafy perennial up to 40cm. Leaves oblong, finely-toothed, densely felted beneath and graduating from lower large to upper small on single erect stem; radiate flowers, solitary on long flower stalks, yellow florets with white rays.

A brandy tincture used to be made of the leaves as a remedy for chest or stomach complaints.
