Description

Evergreen shrublet up to 1.5m, multi-stemmed from a fire-resistant woody stump. Leaves opposite, leathery, ascending, narrowly elliptical with margins rolled under; bears cone-like, axillary clusters of numerous short-haired, pinkish flowers.

Fruit a reddish-purple berry.

Grubbiaceae entirely endemic to the fynbos of the south-western Cape.
