Description

Aromatic, silvery, silky shrub up to 1.5m. Leaves narrow, alternate, sometimes tufted, silvery-silky; bears disciform flowerheads in the leaf axils, forming long racemes; white rays, disc of pink florets; fruiting seedheads woolly.

Greek: erion, wool; cephale, head: referring to the white woolly fruiting seedheads.

Eriocepalus plants are an important source of aromatic essential oils.
