Bulbous geophyte up to 1m. Leaves 5-10, dry at flowering, erect to spreading, linear to sword-shaped, often undulate, margins softly hairy, leaf sometimes hairy; flowers in erect raceme, silvery-white, green or purple, tepals reflexed, pedicels 6-8mm long; anthers about 2mm long, dark blue or purple.
