Erect monoecious or dioecious shrub up to 1.5m. Leaves trifoliolate, leaflets flat, pubescent, oblong-lanceolate, obtuse to tridentate; flowers: male: stamens 12; female: receptacle 3-4mm long, fusiform, glabrous to hairy, 3-winged, wings adpressed to receptacle.
