Description

Plants slender up to 25cm tall. Leaves linear to lanceolate. Inflorescence slender, cylindrical, dense. Bracts as tall or taller than the flowers. Flowers very small, lime-green to cream at opening, but soon turning beetroot-red. Spur pouched, 0.1-0.2mm long. Lip pendent, 2-2.5mm long. This species may be readily identified by its slender form, small flowers, beetroot-red colour and pouched (saccate) spur.

Habitat

Occasional in dry to slightly moist sandy or gravelly areas in full sunlight
