Description

Tufted perennial up to 20cm, puberulous (slightly covered with minute, soft, erect hairs) especially below. Basal leaves oblanceolate-spathulate, margins toothed, upper leaves similar but narrower. Flowers secund (to one side), in ascending, trailing racemes, white or pale-blue with white markings.

Related to Lobelia but differing in the absence of a split in the corolla tube.

Habitat

Near water, mainly at low altitudes
